About the Role

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Team Leader has overall responsibility for both Logistics Coordinators and Logistics Operators working on shift within Goods In. 

What You Will Do

In the role of Team Leader you will coordinate and control all activity and take ultimate responsibility for departmental safety, results, performance, the development of employees on shift and be the interface between management and staff.  

In this role you will also:  

  • Control the overall finished goods process 
  • Ensure the collection and correct reporting of department performance KPI’s, including overtime spend 
  • Track the results of the department to apply both improvements and savings 
  • Control stock accuracy within the department, resolving all stock discrepancies that may occur 
  • Optimize resources on shift to achieve results 
  • Share business knowledge effectively with the team 
  • Conduct performance management processes and other HR activities in the team. 

Who You Are

To achieve success in this role you will have: 

  • Previous experience in a similar industry (FMCG) operating at a similar level 
  • A current FLT licence (counterbalance, PPT) 
  • The ability to use initiative and manage your own workload 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Knowledge of and exposure to warehouse management systems 
  • A flexible approach to working.
